SEASON REVIEW – 2007/2008
  19th May 2008
As the 2007/2008 season has now finished, Aussie Mags has sat down with a beer and reflected on the season that was.

It is far to say this season will not live in our memory for what we saw on the field.  A final placing of 12th with 43 points equals our lowest point return in the Premiership, but we have finished lower than 12th on four different occasions since 1993/94.

However, what we witnessed off the field could be a huge turning point for the football club.

The return of Kevin Keegan certainly took most fans by surprise.  His dramatic return, the new board structure, and the encouraging end of season form lifted the club from its slumber, breathing new life into the outlook all fans.

No doubt there will be set backs, and slip-ups along the way, but for the first time in well over a decade we have a manger and a board in place we fully trust.  With the club debts now cleared, and the prospect of Mike Ashley fully flexing his financial muscle in the transfer market, the summer looks to be an interesting one indeed.

Back to the action on the field though, and let us assess the performance of each member of the playing squad, and think about what the future could hold for them.

The squad has been broken down as follows:

Goalkeepers

Defenders

Midfielders

Strikers
