Match Report: |
|
| |
A nil all draw was enough to get us through to the UEFA
Cup 1st round. We totally dominated the game, having 28 shots on goal
and 11 corners but the lack of an out and out striker, ultimately lead
to us to be very toothless up front.
The job was done and that was the main thing, but the lack of fire power
was very alarming indeed
Albert Luque was very poor as the out and out striker. New siging
Martins and Shola Ameobi(when fit) certainly won't be sweating on the
places in the starting XI, on the evidence of Luque's performance.
Damien Duff was man of the match, doing some excellent work down both
flanks. He for one, we be relishing the opportunity of playing with some
recognised strikers in the coming months.
