Post Match Comments:
Blackpool boss Ian Holloway:

"I am absolutely delighted, we set off and started to run at Newcastle and passed the ball around them.

I don't think they realised what was hitting them. We had to draw on a lot of experience, particularly up front with Jason Euell and Brett Ormerod.

We have got to keep this going now and prove that it's not some sort of one-off."

Newcastle caretaker manager Chris Hughton:

"I am bitterly disappointed, Blackpool were better than us in every department, especially in the first half.

We need to regroup quickly as we have another big game at the weekend.

We came into the game a lot more strongly after the break but over 90 minutes we were not the better side."

  Match Report:
Newcastle United lost their unbeaten record going down 2-1 to Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.

Andy Carroll gave the Magpies the lead on 40 minutes heading home a Danny Guthrie cross, but Blackpool equalised in first-half injury time when Brett Ormerod bundled home the rebound of a Charlie Adam strike.

On 64 minute Blackpool captain, Jason Euell, secured the victory for the home side and condemn Newcastle to it's first defeat of the season.

After that Newcastle boss Chris Hughton throw on Geremi, Peter
Lovenkrands and Nile Ranger to try and chase an equaliser.

And it was Ranger who came the closest when he had a header cleared off the line in the closing stages.
